Ordinance Enforcement Officer:

Richland Township has a part-time Ordinance Enforcement Officer to work with our citizens to resolve ordinance related issues. The job also includes working closely with the Township Zoning Administrator to enforce the Zoning Ordinances and with the Township Building Official to enforce the Township’s Building Ordinances. Our Officer is available to answer questions regarding ordinances, contact information below. Along with educating property owners on compliance issues, our officer investigates complaints, contacts property owners regarding compliance issues, and has the authority to issue Civil Infraction citations. Issuance of a citation is the last step in our process, our goal is compliance to our ordinances. Effective communication, understanding each citizen’s circumstance, and clear education of the ordinances are proven tools to gaining sustained compliance.
