Once again Richland Township will host their annual FREE trash day for residents and property owners of Richland Township & Richland Village.    Proof of residency and / or ownership will be requested.   

Due to the success of the program; we can no longer provide a pay as you use option for non-residents.

Attention Voters:  

Registered voters in precincts # 1 and # 2 will be receiving new voter ID cards showing a change in precinct location.

Richland Township Park

Accepting Applications

Currently accepting applications for part-time seasonal work at our Park.  Most work is either in our Concession Stand or preparing the ball fields for games.  The work will begin in early April.  Starting wage is $9.65 per hour.  Applications will be accepted at our office until March 19, 2020.

Traffic Control Plan

Tree Trimming Begins 2/17/2020

The following dates are approximate and to give you an idea of the time line:

  • Tree trimming will beign Monday 2/17/2020 and will have full road closures.
  • Construction will begin 3/16/2020 and continue until June.  Please see the attached Traffic Control Plan for the extent as well as the sequence of closures.

A right of way permit has been issued by the Road Commission of Kalamazoo County to do this work.

Also, please note that an access lane to all homes will always be maintained throughout consruction.

The Michigan Department of Transportation released its latest five-year transportation plan on Thursday, outlining which projects are now on tap after the State Transportation Commission authorized an additional $3.5 billion in bonding to do more projects at Gov. Gretchen Whitmer's direction.
