The City of Kalamazoo is applying for a 2020 Drinking Water Revolving Fund loan from the State of Michigan. This funding will assist with the extension of water mains and water services in Richland Township in response to discovered PFAS.

Dog Licenses available at Township Office December 1 - March 1

Dog Licenses available

Richland Township will sell Kalamazoo County dog licenses beginning December 1st through March 1st.    Michigan State Law requires all dogs to be rabies vacinnated and licensed at four months of age.  

Kalamazoo County license tags are for Kalamazoo County residents only!

To acquire a license:

  • rabies vaccination dates must be more than 30 days from date of expiration of time of license purchase. 
  • For dogs 1 year old or older, proof of spaying and neutering must be provided to receive the alterated rate.
  • Payment for license must be made by cash, check or money order.  Sorry! No debit or credit cards.

Richland Township sells licenses as a courtesy to our residents and neighbors.   Questions and concerns regarding licensing requirements should be directed to Kalamazoo County Animial Services at 383-8775.

2019 Dog License Fees

Spayed / Neutered Pets            $ 15.00

Less than 1 year old                   $ 15.00

Unaltered pets over 1 year old   $ 45.00
