Those wishing to register to vote in time for the November election may do so on or before October 9, 2018. New registers may file at the township Clerk's office during regular office hours of Monday - Thursday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., any Secretary of State office, the County Clerks office (201 W Kalamazoo Avenue) or by mail. New registers who will wish to vote absentee in the November election, MUST register to vote in person at any one of the three named locations. Michigan Election Law reguires new voters to register to vote in person or vote in person their first election for verification of their identity.
To register to vote, you must be all of the following:
- A U.S. citizen
- At least 18 years old by Election Day
- A resident of Michigan
- A resident of the city or township where you are applying to register to vote.

There you will find information about registering to vote and voting, voting equipment, polling place locations, state and local ballots, the candidates, campaign finance and more. Your local clerk can help with questions about your voter registration, polling place location and working at the polls.
Applications for absentee ballots may be obtained by contacting the Township Clerk's office. Voters who are on the permanent A/V list should receive their application around mid September.
